To Mrs. Temple and the Temple Family,
We, the Angel Visit Baptist Church family, send our love and condolences to you in the loss of your husband, father, and loved one. During this difficult time, we commend you to the capable hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God’s word reminds us that He is a very present help.
The tie that binds your loved one and us together blesses us. We celebrate with you the life of Brother Joseph Temple as we reflect upon our church’s history. Brother Temple’s great-great- grandfather, Brother Milton Taylor, was a founding trustee of the Angel Visit Baptist Church. We are so thankful to him and those who stepped out on faith and trusted God for a place of worship. We thank Brother Temple for the legacy that he embraced of his fore fathers and now the legacy that he leaves to so many.
Know that death is not an end, but a transition to a place free of pain and suffering. The word of God reminds us in 2nd Timothy 4:7-8, “I have fought a good fight, finished the course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.”
As you walk through this valley of the shadow of death, find comfort in the sweet memories of your loved one. Know that God has loaned him to you for many years and has now afforded him a home on high.
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
